What is Access Community, Social and Recreational Activities service?

This service is designed to support you in activities that enhance your wellbeing and build social connections. It focuses on creating opportunities for enjoyment and skill development in a variety of settings.

What it includes

Community – Attending local events, volunteering or joining educational programs.
Social – Building friendships, attending social gatherings or personal celebrations and joining interest groups or community projects.
Recreational – Exploring hobbies like art, music, fitness or participating in sports, leisure outing like parks, museums or cinemas.

How it works

Plan – We’ll work together with you to find activities that match your interests, goals and abilities.
Support – Help and assistance during activities, transportation and skill development.
Adapt – Activities are adapted to suit your needs and preferences. What have you always wanted to try?  We can help you explore them in a safe and supportive way.

Regina Care provides Community Participation and other NDIS support services throughout Western Sydney, including Parramatta, Merrylands, Blacktown, Penrith, Fairfield, Bankstown, Strathfield, Castle Hill and surrounding suburbs. We proudly support participants across the Cumberland, Parramatta, Strathfield, Canterbury-Bankstown, Fairfield, Blacktown, Penrith and The Hills local government areas, helping people build confidence, develop social connections and participate in meaningful community activities.

Yes. Where appropriate, our support workers can assist with transport so you can safely access community and recreational activities.

Absolutely. We work with you to choose activities that match your interests, abilities and NDIS goals.

Can I participate in activities one-on-one or in a group?

Can I participate in activities one-on-one or in a group?

Yes. Depending on your preferences, goals and support needs, you can participate in activities individually with a support worker or as part of a group, helping you build confidence and social connections at your own pace.

Can I access Community Participation alongside my other NDIS supports?

Can I access Community Participation alongside my other NDIS supports?

Yes. Community Participation can be provided alongside other NDIS supports such as Assistance with Daily Living, Support Coordination, Supported Independent Living (SIL) or Respite Care & Short-Term Accommodation (STA), depending on your NDIS plan and individual goals.
