There are three options for managing your plan:
Self-managed
You handle the funding, payments and service provider selection. This offers the greatest flexibility but requires strong administrative skills.
Plan-managed
A registered plan management provider assists with managing your funds, paying providers, and keeping track of expenses. This offers a balance of support and control.
NDIA-managed
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) pays providers directly and ensures compliance with NDIS rules. This option restricts you to using registered providers only.
You can use a combination of these options for different parts of your plan.
The my NDIS participant portal is an online platform where participants can manage their NDIS plans and funding.
It allows you to:
- View your plan details, including approved supports and budgets.
- Submit payment requests if you are self- managing.
- Search for registered service providers.
- Update your personal details or contact information.
The portal is accessible via your mygov account, linked to the NDIS platform.
